You’d be forgiven if you couldn’t keep track of all my lists. After all, I can hardly keep track of them. But I still find that they do a lot for me, even when I don’t check everything off. They help me maintain an enthusiasm for life that is kind of fun to have, I must say.
Without further ado, here is my list of fun things that I hope to do this winter season:
Make the Manischewitz cookie house. The caveat being, only if I find it in a local store.
Make apple cider doughnuts. My mother and I wanted to try these at the country farm store we went to a few weeks ago, and I made a note to make them on Chanukah.
Follow through with Elfster gift exchange. I am doing this with some cousins for Chanukah and it is underway.
Have a soup and sandwich at Mendy’s.
Visit the Bryant Park Winter Village and get mini cupcakes from Baked by Melissa.
Do Date Night at the Met on a Motzoei Shabbos.
Get sea salt caramel hot cocoa mix. I made a note to do this awhile ago and it is done.
Take a Holiday Nostalgia Ride.
See the Saks Fifth Avenue light show. This is around the corner from my workplace, I have no excuse.
Watch skaters at Rockefeller Center. Also around the corner.
Eat at LOX.
See the Renoir drawings exhibit at the Morgan.
Get Chinese food on…well, December 24.
Use my waffle maker.
See the Roy Lichtenstein retrospective at the Whitney. I think this opens end of January.
That should keep me planning for awhile! Please share any fun winter lights you have on the horizon!
