China Patterns

It’s been a minute since I’ve added items to my imaginary bridal registry. (I used to actually have a pretend registry at Macy’s, later a wish list at Bed Bath and Beyond, and also a Pinterest board.) I don’t really feel the need to save up everything I like anymore – styles change, my taste evolves, and items go out of production. But the other night, I was looking at someone else’s registry and started perusing dinnerware patterns. There are so many beautiful ones. My picks were:

Wedgwood Renaissance Gold

Mackenzie-Childs Courtly Check

Maybe both? Friday night and Shabbos day!

I also love two discontinued patterns:

Kate Spade Rose Park

Mikasa Winslet (the clock is one of my personal symbols, after all)

Do you have a favorite pattern? One of my childhood friends had the best family tradition. Each child had a Shabbos place setting in their own favorite pattern. I used to think that was a bit much, visually, but now I think it’s awesome.
