Emily Gaines Demsky writes the daily newsletter “Tell Me 3 Good Things,” a nice gratitude practice I can get behind. Here is a thought she shared in an interview:
Beauty dies in the absence of hope…but hope dies in the absence of beauty.
Hope is the feeling that what is, now, can change. And beauty, both natural and manmade, is the actualization of possibility. Beauty can help us feel hope. This is a connection I hadn’t made before, but of course, now I see that it’s there. Let’s keep looking for and having experiences of beauty.
