A friend and I were discussing how we miss being taught interesting topics through the lens of the Jewish sources. When we were in seminary together, we had to write a few in-depth papers on various topics and the research process was really interesting. We talked about maybe assigning ourselves topics to research and then coming together to discuss findings. While this may not be something we do in the near future, I thought it was fun to think about and made a list of potential topics:
time
seasons (but of course)
the four elements
night (this was really my friend’s interest but I got into it, too)
sleep
the hero’s journey
gardening/flowers
I’m sure there will be others!
