Fall Newsletter 5/13

Gmar tov to all!

Here we are already into the second month of the fall quarter.

I hope you had an easy and meaningful Yom Kippur. I was home/in my home shul (and I don’t have plans to be away over Succos either, but things can change).

Last year I had fun writing a menu, I didn’t do that to the same extent this year but I did note some things that look good:

cured salmon (my cousin makes this, I don’t have a recipe but it’s such a treat)

mushroom leek cutlets

honeyed apple chicken

chicken poppers

ratatouille (I can hear my grandmother saying this)

maple pear crumble

honey pumpkin cake

This dairy salad with butternut squash also looks so good.

A little more “window shopping”: the pattern on this little dress is the sweetest.

Currently reading: The How of Happiness, by Sonja Lyubomirsky. What’s on your Y”T reading list? (I still have time to go to the library.) This also seems like a good place to share a suggestion to read the way you want to feel over Y”T. And to be mindful of magazine consumption if it does not help you feel good. 🤍

A few vintage Succos posts: seeing stars, love, ushpizin.

Wishing you a good Shabbos and good Y”T! I hope you truly enjoy it!
