Hello, all. I was up very late Sunday night watching livestreams from Israel…many emotions. A bittersweet week for all of us…but b”H.
Y”T caught up with me a bit over chol hamoed in a way that surprised me — I thought I was going to get out with an easy time of things, but I was definitely out of sorts earlier this week. (Next week, I’ll share some of the things I was grappling with because maybe you’ll relate and have insights to share.)
My cousins came for second days (a couple and baby), this was quiet and pleasant.
I finished Wired for Love and read The Postcard. Wired for Love is a moving book about the love story between two researchers and the science of relationships. Some parts were a bit painful for me because they were so in love and when I read about relationships like that I feel very sad that I don’t have that. The Postcard is a really excellent novel but very heavy (based on true events), worth the read. I also enjoyed Here We Go over Shabbos chol hamoed, this was sweet and inspiring in a low-key way. So all in all, a good reading week.
I’m looking forward to resetting over Shabbos – and see you next week!
