File this under “making my younger self proud.” This month, I went to two author talks: Amor Towles at 92NY and Gretchen Rubin at Symphony Space (both NYC, and both after work). And I loved both experiences. Just loved. I got an unexpectedly strong surge of joy out of seeing these two individuals, who each in their way have contributed to my sense of possibility and optimism. Now of course I’m on the lookout for other events like these.
