Who Guides Our Steps

One of the exercises my coach had me do was to write down times when help, opportunities or changes came into my life without my even knowing to look for them. For example, the first time a friend called me to be her roommate. Or when I got my MSW internship that became my job. Or when a professor informed me that I was eligible for a $10,000 scholarship towards my MSW, quite out of the blue. When a friend coincidentally started an egg freezing cycle the same week as mine and supported me through it. When a friend passed my resume along to Sara Schenirer and I didn’t take it seriously but now here we are. So many examples.

It helps me to remember this. I can work hard at solving problems, but often solutions come from places I didn’t even know to look or couldn’t have imagined.

Wishing you a bright and hopeful day!
