Fall Newsletter 10/13

Hello, all. Long week!

I was not thrilled with the results on Election Day. I had that interview with the remote job I was hoping would enable my extended trip to Israel, but it is not relevant for a couple reasons, so back to the drawing board.

However, it wasn’t all doom and gloom. It also was a productive week (more so than I realized, which is why these weekly reviews are helpful): I taught two classes and graded papers. I confirmed that I’m teaching these two classes next semester as well (which is a lot of work, but I am hoping Israel works out and this will be a nice income). I am at 13 1/2 pages of lit review. My advisor agreed to be my dissertation chair, which was a relief to lock down. I did two more hours of JTTS training – only four more to go (out of 24).

Reading: I’m currently reading How To Winter, by Kari Leibowitz, as mentioned here. I also have the Charlotte series out for Shabbos reading.

All in all, I am feeling grateful for this week — and for Shabbos!

Wishing you a restful Shabbos.
