I am really looking forward to Shabbos!
This week involved more writing. Lit review is at about 26 pages. “About” because I’m still adding, subtracting, and rearranging, but it’s basically there and I am grateful. It will in all likelihood need a lot of work after my chair reviews it, but that can wait until next semester. I’m just pleased that I managed to cite M’nucha Bialik and the Kichels.
My “other” semester ended this week, and I will miss my students! I always really enjoy teaching even though it makes things a little chaotic scheduling-wise. Maybe at the end of the day, what I’m really meant to do is teach…
Speaking of which, teaching a pilot course of Journal to the Self has been so enjoyable. We are up to session 3 of 6. I am truly so passionate about this material. It’s just a joy to give it over.
Currently reading: The Happiness Files, by Arthur C. Brooks. This is a compilation of many of his essays for The Atlantic. At one point I was considering a subscription so that I could read them, so I’m glad they’re now in a book!
Finally, I need to recommend this episode of Living L’chaim. I’m going to do a whole post on this next week b”n, because there is so much to explore. Enjoy it!
Wishing you a beautiful Shabbos and a freilichen Chanukah!
