It seems a bit early to plan a trip for the end of June, but that’s where my mind has been this week! My cousin and I have settled on (necessarily tentative) dates, and have agreed to circle back after Purim to confirm them, and to book things around Pesach. Getting the balance right between being in the present and planning for the future is hard. I wish and want and hope for what I hope for, and I also want to plan for something that I actually have more control over. I’m curious to hear how you strike this balance.
On Sunday, I started teaching for the semester (I think it’ll be a good one iy”H) and finished giving my JTTS pilot course. Now I need to be brave and put together a paid course. I really believe in this work and everything is pointing towards my doing it on a more regular basis.
On Monday, I picked up my passport from the Austrian Consulate General. Mischief managed!
Assorted other things: I walked a lot this week, trying to get that step count up. I returned that dress I mentioned last week (just closing that loop). I’ve been doing assorted strength training workouts (10 minutes) before work on WFH days. This is really new for me and I’m proud of myself for following through on this goal. My copy of A Poem for Every Night of the Year came last week and I’m caught up and reading a poem each night. I’ll share an excerpt of a poem next week that made me smile. I haven’t found a book recently that has fully absorbed me though I’ve dipped into lots of books. Maybe I’ll get into something over Shabbos.
Wishing you a warm and restful Shabbos!
