Spring Newsletter 2/13

I can’t say much happened this week! We had the oddest weather – it went from winter to summer back to winter. One day I wore a t-shirt and the next I shivered in a coat and boots.

I was quite tired this week and realized it might be low-key jet lag from the clock change. It kind of caught me by surprise – spring’s coming feels oddly bewildering, after how invested I’ve been in having my best winter ever. But seasons change, as we know. I even did a little spring shopping.

I have been listening to the springy soundtrack of The Secret Garden and remembering my visit to Misselthwaite Manor. I am reading a bit of this and that, most recently a book about “the old ways,” which gives me some wanderlust.

Finally, an excerpt from “Dear March — Come In,” by Emily Dickinson (the March 3rd poem here):

Dear March — come in —

How glad I am —

I hoped for you before —

Put down your Hat —

You must have walked —

How out of Breath you are —

I hope you have a restful Shabbos and catch up on your sleep if you need to!
