This week I have been reflecting on my summer as a whole. It was a summer to remember. Of course, there is more going on than the fun things I wrote about, but at the moment I am reviewing and focusing on those.
This week I had my final (well, maybe not final) Rita’s in honor of Rosh Chodesh (which was last week, but close enough). I tried something different – a gelati, which consists of a layer of custard, followed by water ice, followed by more custard. This item came highly recommended by friends. I had the Shirley Temple ice with vanilla custard and it was fun – though I have to say my favorite part was…the vanilla custard, which IMO was better than typical soft ice cream. And that concludes my Rita’s summer experiment.
On Wednesday after work, I went to the Museum of the City of New York, which was free and open late (“Summer Wednesdays”), to see the Another Wonderland exhibit. There was also a very cool model of New York City.
This week I read the Josefina series, which I loved! My favorite AG series so far.
Inspired by my cousin, who brought printed pictures to our cousin last Shabbos, I went through my many France pictures and ordered over 200 from Snapfish! That was a big job that I did in bits throughout the week but so worthwhile.
I am going to my sister for Shabbos and stopping at the beach!
Wishing you a restful Shabbos!
