A Values Quiz

Recently, I had my students discuss a values worksheet in small groups, identifying and sharing their own core values. So I had values on my mind when I listened to a Gretchen Rubin podcast episode with Suzy Welch, who recently created an online values quiz. Of course, I hopped on over there and took it. I’m pleased to share that I’m a “Thresholder” – at the cusp of living in alignment with my values (and one step below “Transcendent”). I found it really interesting that my “authenticity gap” is at 0% for four of my top five values, and at 43% for my value of familycentrism. In the results interpretation, the following suggestion about my score felt right on the mark: “it may reflect a future-oriented longing — an as-yet unmet desire to build the family you see as the foundation of your life.” In other words, it looks like I’m doing what’s important to me in most areas except I’m missing the family.

This was fun and interesting (and free). Hope you enjoy!
