Hello, everyone. This week ran away from me — I had planned on posting something about the Nine Days but between schoolwork and my egg freezing cycle, I couldn’t make it happen. Just a quick thought from the Levush: Megillas Eichah is typically not written on the traditional parchment the way other megillos are because our hope is that we …
Fertility and prenatal health have been on my mind a lot recently. These are really important topics we need to know more about. In this post, I will share some information that single women may want to know. Feel free to add anything I may have missed in the comments below. Also, please note that this is not medical advice …
Hi, everyone. I hope you are doing well. Onto some more dating optimism! Step #1 was about focusing on your belief that you can have what you dream of. Step #2 was about going all in on wanting it even if it’s scary or uncomfortable. Step #3 is about identifying what it is that you really want. For …
Hi, everyone. Last week we started working through the six steps in the book Meeting Your Half-Orange, by Amy Spencer. To recap, the first step is to connect to the belief inside of you that you truly can have the relationship you dream of, focus on improving the quality of your thoughts around dating and marriage, and frame your thoughts …
Hey, all, I just wanted to give a shoutout to an amazing episode on Singled Out all about trusting your gut. I felt tremendously validated and soothed by the words shared by Ariella Azaraf, LCSW. The book is divided into six steps to help you, well, meet your half-orange, also known as your perfect match. I’ve started reading this book …

Graduation is one of those markers of time passing, and if you feel a little funny thinking about the planeloads of freshly-finished young ladies touching down after seminary, you’re not alone. It feels …
Hey, everyone, let’s talk about healthy positivity. The two terms in the title of this post are different ways of being optimistic/positive. Radical optimism is the belief that life is good and that we have the right to trust in positive outcomes, despite the difficulties and challenges we face and the misgivings we feel. Toxic positivity is the refusal …
Hi, everyone. I am taking a course on Mindful Self-Compassion and it is so good! We are learning different tools and exercises to use when facing challenges or feeling distressed. One of the tools we practiced was soothing touch. Applying soothing touch to your body stimulates the release of oxytocin and other opiates that reduce stress hormones and help you …
The #1 concern shared by my readers (and by me) is the question: how do I know my husband is really out there? How do I know I’ll find him? And what if I don’t? You have probably discussed this with people over the years and been reminded that the bas kol proclaimed “bas ploni l’ploni” 40 days before …
