So, question for you: who are you avoiding? Lol. It’s just that a friend and I were talking about this, and we both have a passel of people we basically hide from. Married classmates, local shadchanim (not everyone in these categories, just the special ones), and other people that we’ve had lovely experiences with…It’s kind of hilarious sometimes, and stressful and annoying. I don’t want to be a hider, obviously, but you can’t have everything apparently.

I call it “setting boundaries around who I will see or small talk with.” I’m learning that I have a right to set boundaries around nice and well-meaning and frankly just plain annoying people
